Pick up/drop off locations: In Utsjoki, we pick you up (or drop you off) from your door, anywhere within 3km of Utsjoki centre. This includes Arctic Resort, Hotel Utsjoki, Lomatärppi, Lomakylä Valle, Airbnb, etc.

We walk through some beautiful scenery “off the beaten track” using snow shoes. This is the best way of viewing the beautiful scenery in the local area. As there aren’t many roads here, to get the best views, you must get “off road”. We trek up some of the local fells with stunning views across the area and looking north you are looking across the Finnmark fells of Norway. It’s quite a slow pace and quite easy going terrain, so anyone with at least an average level of fitness can come along, you can also use hiking poles to aid balance. We have a few different routes we can take, depending on your level of fitness, which we can figure out on the day. The general rule we use is if you can walk around Ikea for an hour, you will be fine snowshoeing. We stop often for little rests too, it’s a lovely walk, nothing too strenuous.
